Thread Holder

I stitched this sweet little thread holder as my first Christmas present for next year. Actually, this was my practice Thread Holder and I will make another one for a gift - maybe in lighter colors. I will add to it as the year progresses and give it to a friend who loves to stitch! Maybe add a nice pair of scissors or some DMC thread.

I got the pattern here from The Stitching Place. It's a really quick, inexpensive gift!

  1. Susan, that is a nifty little creation and much prettier than the baggie I usually use.

  2. Susan - This is sweet! I took a look at the tutorial and went away completely confused and very impressed that you could follow those directions. :o)
I usually just toss my threads on the floor, then vacuum them later, but something like this would definitely keep my stitching area neater!

  3. Very well done Susan! I made this for my quilt group's exchange gift this year along with a drawstring bag. It was so fun and easy to sew together.
