Deck-orations

I rescued this little white table from a junk pile today. I love the way it was cut and constructed. True the back leg is warped and I have to prop it against the deck railing, but I still think it has some years left in it. I love the way it is weathered - very shabby chic. I put a rusted wire bowl, also rescued from the junk pile, a plant, and a little wooden rocking chair. I like the way it all looks together. I think I will get some oilcloth and make a runner for the table - or, maybe, I will just use some regular material. It looks nice on my deck.

  1. I think the whole little scene is very charming. No one will know the table is propped they'll just see how pretty it is. I'll bet it does have a few years left. My brother got a little oak table for my back porch at a garage sale for $3.00. We figured that it was a good deal if it lasted the summer, and it is on it's third summer now.

  2. Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. Our crepe myrtles have just started, maybe ours are earlier due to the heat starting earlier here in Florida. I agree, Okperi seems a master gardener.

  3. I love your "deck-oration" Susan :) The table looks perfect there, and it's got a very Southwestern design to it with the way it's cut. It looks just like something you'd see in Santa Fe and Taos (and pay lots of money for, lol).
