Chairs or Art or What?

Nobody and Co makes some funky chairs. I am not sure if they are functional, artsy, or just interesting. Definitely not for my home but fun to take a look.

How about a Bibliochair? Sure would make having a book handy a reality. Where would you put your drink?
Or, you could always have art hanging on the wall and take it down to have seat when you are tired?!

Or, the 3 legged chair - doesn't look very comfortable to me.

This one reminds me of our present government- it's missing some key pieces..... (Uh-oh, did I just write that?!)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine’s Day

Love is always patient and kind;
love is never jealous;
love is not boastful or conceited,
it is never rude and never seeks its own advantage,
it does not take offence or store up grievances.
Love does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but finds its joy in the truth.
It is always ready to make allowances, to trust, to hope
and to endure whatever comes.
Love never comes to an end.
I Corinthians 13:4-8 (NJB)

Sweet Booties!: And Blankets, Bonnets, Bibs & More

Don't you love the cover of this book? I saw it in the library yesterday and was instantly drawn to it. It has 30 projects inside and each one is adorable. I can see that I will drool over the projects before I decide which one I want to make for a friend of mine who is expecting his first child.

The Hat

I absolutely LOVE Aretha's hat! Wish I had one just like it. But, only she could carry it off with such style!! A grey felt cloche, adorned with a Swarovski crystal-encrusted bow - custom-made by milliner Luke Song. As a child, I remember my mother wearing similar hats to church every Sunday. I would sit in church and look at all the beautiful hats and just waiting until I could wear them myself. Sadly, the trend was to quit wearing church hats before I had a chance. Maybe I need to just start wearing them anyway!

New Curtains

BEFORE: AFTER:

I like my new curtains much better. It makes the kitchen seem much bigger and lighter. I was just so tired of the old curtains (which had been hanging up in the kitchen for 13 years!) When we bought them, they were expensive and heavy. These new curtains are so light and hangs pretty compared to the old curtains. The pink curtains are on their way out of the house!
And, in the bathroom, I bought new shower hooks and a new shower curtain. They look so much better than the hooks that had been hanging up for the past 14 years. I also bought a new bath rug but it's too big and fluffy for the door to open. So, I will have to work on that.
