Fall Cinnamon Stick Candles

What's a girl to do when she wants new fall decoration but does not want to spend the money on new items?  She makes something new out of the things on hand.  I have seen these candles on the internet and honestly they are not hard to do.  You gather your supplies -

For this project, you will need candles, cinnamon sticks, raffia or ribbon or twine, a glue gun, and a little furry cat to help you!

You simply hot glue the sticks to the candles and tie a string of some sort around them.  Hard - huh?!

Happy October everyone!

  2. Susan - I love these candles and am going to copy you. :o) I like lots of texture, which these have, they're simple and rustic, and they have to smell amazing!

  3. These are just so beautiful! What a wonderful thing to do even when you have endless funds to decorate with. This is unique and pretty and I bet it will smell great when the candles get low and the cinnamon sticks start to get warm.

I bet that furry friend was the important part of this purrfect make do project...lol.

    The table looks so autumn!

  5. Weird question maybe, but what happens when the candle gets below the cinnamon sticks? They won't melt will they? They can't catch on fire? If they are glued on, also worried about the glue running when it gets hot? Just wondering!

  6. I just love this idea, the heat must make the room smell so nice. Suppose you just need to watch them like all other candles.
