I have a confession. I would love to get rid of my huge wooden mahogany desk and replace it with a nice small secretary desk. I could organize the pigeon holes, place a laptop on top and be instantly organized! It sure would save space in my tiny 1350 sq ft home. Of course, this will never happen for where would I put the mounds of things that appear and stay on my desk top? It's a nice dream - a girl can dream can't she?
I like those little spaces for everything. very cute, organised and totally space saving! Go for it! Jo x
ReplyDeleteThey are all beautiful, but if they don't do the job- I have a smaller home also, and I am always compromising, but it can be kind of a fun challenge at times. I looked back at your blog, and I love your favorite things. Your plate reminded me that my mother at one time collected 'Jewel T' dishes, they were probably from around the same time.
ReplyDeleteSusan, I saw the cutest secretary desk at IKEA, of all places. It is made of aluminum (kind of has a Hoosier Cabinet look to it) and looks perfectly cottage-y; not to mention that it was VERY affordable. If you ever decide to downsize, check them out first. I too have a "mini" house and know first hand how going vertical can increase the usable space. If I hadn't started using the wall space I would have had to move out of my little saltbox house years ago, LOL!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your blog so much, thank you for visiting mine. I got my gnomes at Target, and they were on clearance this week in ours.
