Monday Meows

My name is Oscar and I am very spoiled!  

Here I am in profile.  Aren't I handsome?  Below is my sister.  

I think she is very sweet as well.  We have never been apart.

Four animals that hibernate for the winter




The Black Bear - we have several around here in our woods.  They hibernate for up to 100 days!

 

 The Box Turtle - again, very common in my part of the country.  They hibernate from 77-154 days!

 

 

The Common PoorWill.  Did you know that this bird sleeps the winter away?  They will hibernate under a rock or a log for up to 100 days!  I really like this little bird.

 

 

And, finally, since I have have not been here since Fall, I too have hibernated for over 100 days!  The difference is that I have gone to work, taken care of my family, and spent many days under the weather. 

 

I am glad that spring is here!
