Finishes

I found these little cross stitch pieces in the local thrift store for $2.

I thought they were so pretty and deserved better than a thrift store cast off.
So, I bought them and brought them home.

I decided to make little pillows out of them for my table.

One more item marked off my 'to-do' list!!

I really like how they turned out!

As soon as I get my table runner finished (another item on my 'to-do' list), my basket will be ready to go on the table!

Or, maybe before!!

  3. I love those little pillows, Susan! When I saw the first picture of how you made them into pillows, I was thinking, "They'd be so cute grouped in a basket!" And, voila - you did just that! Looks great.

  5. You are the most ingenious person I have met in a long time! I love the way you made the little pillows from those darling CCS squares, and then put in a pretty basket to display them. If I had done them, the pillows would have been just plain square pillows, and then I would not have figured out what to do with them after that. I must learn to think more outside the box like you do! I know the table runner plus the basket will be fantabulous!

  6. I love these! They are great bowl (well in your case basket) fillers. And I am sad to think someone took the time to make them and then they ended up lost and forlorn in the thrift shop until you came along. What a fun thing to find!

  7. The little pillows are gorgeous! Who would get rid of those? So much work went into them, but you have given them a new beautiful life!

  8. What a creative way to repurpose those embroideries! The fabrics and rick rack complement them so well!

    Take care,
